Doing Our Bit To Nurture The Nature;

One Sapling At A Time

At Kanai, we have been attempting to create a vibrant green world and continue to create a larger-than-life difference in the community. Just like we’ve always shown our gratitude by giving back as the children of Mother Earth, we replicate the same spirit today, by making a vow to preserve our ecosystem in more than just one way.

Through our noble initiative, we hereby pledge to plant 1,111 native trees for each home you buy with us. We shall plant one tree, each time a customer comes over for a site visit to our project.

Our mission is to increase the green cover in the area ten times more and recreate a fine balance between carnation and concrete, thus building a legacy for a sustainable future that prides in its glory.

Our Green Initiatives

Establishing 9 Thriving Forests

Over the past five years, we have made an exceptional commitment to environmental sustainability by planting more than 40,000 trees. This remarkable effort has resulted in the creation of nine self-sustaining forests. These forests feature a diverse array of 300 native tree species, making a significant impact on our ecosystem.

Carbon Sequestration

Our tree planting initiative has sequestered a substantial amount of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. To put this achievement in perspective, a single tree can absorb approximately 25 kilograms of carbon annually. With 40,000 trees in our care, we've successfully sequestered an impressive 1,000 tonnes of carbon each year. Considering the average lifespan of a tree as 50 years, our total carbon absorption stands at an astounding 50,000 tonnes.

Oxygen Production

In addition to carbon sequestration, our trees contribute significantly to the production of oxygen. A single tree generates around 120 kilograms of oxygen annually. With our extensive tree planting efforts, we produce a remarkable 48,00,000 kilograms (equivalent to 4,800 tonnes) of oxygen each year. Over a tree's typical 50-year lifespan, this equates to a remarkable total of 2,40,000 tonnes of oxygen.

Bird Feeder Programme

As part of our commitment to biodiversity, we've launched a Bird Feeder Program. To date, we've distributed over 5,000 bird feeders, each of which supports an average of 20 birds. This programme ensures that approximately 1,00,000 birds are fed daily, contributing to the well-being of our bird friends and enriching our natural surroundings.

Leaving Behind More Than We Take

At Kanai, we are strongly glued to green approaches. For us, Natural Greens if properly cared for, are valuable, enriching Invaluable asserts. The idea of being one with Nature is what we want you to experience with the bliss of humongous lush landscapes, untouched and green, all surrounding your priceless haven.

Over the years, we have indulged in massive forest creations and our passion for it has been thriving since. We have also executed 2 Tirthankar Vans or Cultural Forests till date. The 24 Tirthankars of Jainism were enlightened with eternal knowledge under various trees. Inspired by the same philosophy, we have been planting these auspicious and extremely versatile trees that radiate positivity and bring peace to the space you live in.

Apart from growing over 40,000 trees so far, we also planted over 5,000 indigenous species of Fruiting, Flowering, Medicinal, Ficus, Timer, Rare, Endangered and Special Trees that absorb pollution,and have created two mini forests in the vicinity of our project. In the coming years the quality of air in our area will be 30 times more purer than any other place in Khandala, owing to the myriad trails and varieties of trees planted. Afterall, the rewarding benefits of this kind of plantation is 30x more dense, as it absorbs 30 x more carbon dioxide and gives out 30 x more oxygen; making it 100% more biodiverse, under the soil and above the ground. Thus garnering into a mature forest of 100 years in just a span of 10 years. Nature certainly gratifies us, in ways we can’t imagine.
